Auctioned Pieces

These are pieces that I collected in my early days when I was still learning the ropes and before I began to develop a deeper appreciation for Kiangan style sculptures. Once I knew the direction I wanted to take my collection, I had to dispose of the pieces that no longer fit my concept. I used to sell my pieces via ecommerce and social media. Auction houses provide an established platform to market pieces to a wider captured audience. The downsides are that they take a rather huge percentage of the hammer price and you need to shoulder the marketing fees separately. The demand for and value of indigenous art sold through the auction house channel has been rising as of this writing.
