Frequently Asked Questions

The Support You Need

FAQ: FAQ

Why don't you have a physical location?

The Ahi A'ni is a pure on-line gallery. The pieces are stored at my residence and there are three ways to view them:

  1. You come over to my residence where it is possible to view them in the Lanai which is very well ventilated and outdoors.

  2. Should you find travelling inconvenient and prefer to view the pieces live without direct contact, we can also schedule on-line viewing through ZOOM. Kindly book a reservation at the bottom of the "Home" page or you may send me a private message.

  3. Alternatively, I can also take the pieces to you at your preferred location. Kindly send me a private message.

Are your pieces real antiques?

Without proper carbon dating equipment it's impossible to accurately date a particular piece. My collection is a blend of Antique and Vintage pieces i.e. Early to Late 20th Century. There are a range of factors to consider when determining the date of a piece such as patina, carving style, wood quality etc.... Loosely defined, an object is Vintage if it's 25 to 99 yrs old. Therefore, any piece above 100 yrs is considered Antique. Furthermore, a selection of our pieces have also been auctioned-off at the country's premier auction house. Kindly refer to the "auctioned pieces" page for more details.

How do you prove Provenance?

My pieces are sourced mainly from Ifugao runners who purchase direct from the owners or collectors. I also purchase select pieces direct from well-known collectors. Most of my pieces from Ifugao runners have pictures to prove that they were collected in situ. I have also labelled my pieces stating the runner's name, location and approximate date when the piece was acquired.

What are your shipping options?

If your location is within Metro Manila I can Lalamove to you on the same day delivery for all orders placed before 12 noon. Should you be located outside Metro Manila, I will ship to you via LBC and this can take 1-2 Days for Luzon and 5-7 days for Visayas or Mindanao. All International Orders are cancelled at this time.

How do I avoid fakes?

The Ahi A'ni guarantees the authenticity of all it's pieces. If you are uncomfortable with the authenticity of a particular piece, you may return the piece within 7 days from the time the piece was delivered to you. However, you will need to shoulder the shipment fees to my location. I will return your money immediately, no questions asked.

Why are your prices more expensive than other sellers on FB Marketplace?

Our pieces are carefully chosen to ensure authenticity and provenance. I strive to ensure each one has unique qualities and is a match with my style.
